Can i fix my xbox 360 problem?

when i first got oblivion it worked fine and had no scratches but over time when i used it it got scratches and now i cant complete some parts of the game because it gives me a message that says the disc is unreadable, this is without turning the 360 from vertical to horizontal when it is on with a game
