Should I return my PS3 (40gb)? And also buy PS2?

Hi I am very disappointed that Sony they discontinue the PS3 with 80gb. I wanted the PS3 with 80gb & it was remove from the shelf every shopping store. The 2 things that I do not like the PS3 40gb is you can't play PS2 games & has less futures. Many people say that the PS3 could upscale the DVD picture but, the picture looks horrible. Should I return it & get my money back or should I buy PS2 console?
