Is cramping normal?

im 5 weeks prego but i have been having cramps for about a week now. its thanksgiving holliday so i havent been abel to get to a docter yet. but i feels like a lil of menstral cramps and like a gurgaling sound or feeling in there. maybe like air bubbels or somthing. and my lower rib area hurts and its kinda hard to sleep. i dont think i could me miscarring or anything cus i havent had any blood but im getting kinda worried something might be wrong. has anybody ecle have cramping when first pregnant?
