Canadian - have to go to Florida for werk for 1 week-can I bring cig down there and maybe a little vodka?

with no duty I know how paranoid they are at US customs and have not been to the US in about 6 years. Just looking if you can bring personal amounts of mostly cigs. Also my flight leaves at 06h00 from Calgary - how long before should I get to airport?
