Why do creationists cling to the word theory..?

Are they aware that even if the theory of evolution which deals only with biological mechanisms such as natural selection were proved wrong the fact of species evolution would remain unchallenged. Are they aware that even if Darwin were totally removed from the equation species evolution would STILL remain unchallenged. That is a statement of the realities that you are up against so stop deluding yourselves that evolution is only a theory. It's an indisputable fact and facts don't change because some people don't like them.
