Isn't there a waterfall where there's like, a spa/ditch right on top of it...?

ive seen this before in upstate new york and also in pennsylvania when i was younger. yes there are natural pools right above waterfalls. usually this fresh water isn't a very old waterfall hence why the water hasn't eroded away the ledge that protects you from falling over and the water is usually ice cold.
